Candidate For Montana House Representative:: For Our Land and Our Loved Ones

House District 9 runs from Kila to Lakeside ( there is a map below).  I first moved to Kila in 2001 and lived in an off grid cabin off of Emmons Creek Rd. Our first house was bought in Somers and now we live in Kalispell, outside of the city.

Montana has been my home for 25 years. I have watched the Flathead County change with the growth.  Here in House District 9 , we’re a mix of people—some have been here for generations, some are new transplants, some are doing well and others are  working hard just to keep up—but we all want the same basic things: stability, safety, opportunity, and a future for our kids.

Montana has been the longest place I have ever lived in one state. This is a beautiful state with wonderful people and has written one of the greatest state constitutions ever. But even in places that look like they’re doing okay, too many people are quietly stretched thin. I have lived in poverty and wouldn’t have risen from it without hard work and programs that helped me.

I decided to run for office because the national awareness of the Epstein files brought home many issues that women and children face here in Montana.  When I worked with the Violence Free Crisis Line/ Abbey Shelter, I was witness to many incidents involving women and children. I stood beside women and spoke with children as a victim advocate and have been their voice in the city courts and in the police stations. One of my main focuses for the legislature will be ensuring the safety of families, that women and children are safe in their homes. The guilty need to be held accountable and justice needs to be delivered.

Service has always been at the center of my life. I’ve worked in health care - assisting the disabled in their homes and those in skilled care facilities. I have held the hand of dying patients in hospice.  I’ve learned the value of teamwork and resilience in the restaurant industry—whether as a waitress, manager, bookkeeper, or owner.

My story may be unique, but my values are ones I know we share, families first. And that’s the common ground where we can build something better, together.

At my heart, I am a wife, mother, outdoor enthusiast and a music creator. Both roles shape the way I see the world—with compassion, creativity, and a deep commitment to building a positive future.
