Meet Kate

Voice For Montana Values

Kate McLaughlin is running on a family first platform for HD9 because she saw a need to represent her community.

Raised in rural town, with 8 siblings, Kate learned early what it means to stretch a dollar, care for family, be a part of a community and do the work required even when you face resistance.

She moved to Montana in 2001 and lived in a remote off grid log cabin. She is a wife and the mother of three sons. Kate spent years in service work—jobs that required resilience, empathy, and grit—before building a small business with her husband .

Kate is willing and ready to serve and represent the people of HD9.

Commitment to Community

I value our veterans, our seniors, our artists and all families. I am dedicated to Health Care and Education

Environment

Our land is valuable and we need clean, renewable sources of energy. I value keeping our Public Lands for hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation

Agriculture

I value Montana's farmers and ranchers and will advocate for policies to promote and sustain them and our rural communities

Jobs and Economy

I support economical and environmental sound policies for stable jobs and livable wages. I will support local businesses and small enterprises

Good Government

I value the Montana Constitution, the US Constitution, transparency in government and protecting voting rights. I stand for removing dark money to influence elections

Inclusivity, Diversity and Equality

I value every Montanan and will advocate for their rights and the rights of tribal nations.
