Kate McLaughlin - US SENATE - McLaughlin For Montana

Kate McLaughlin didn’t come to politics through elite schools or  powerful connections.  She is running on a family first platform, without political experience because she saw a need to represent everyday Montanas and not special interests.

Raised in rural Vermont, with 8 siblings, Kate learned early what it means to stretch a dollar, care for family, be a part of a community and do the work required even when you face resistance.

She moved to Montana in 2000 and lived in a remote off grid log cabin. She is a wife and the mother of three sons. Kate spent years in service work—jobs that required resilience, empathy, and grit—before building a small business with her husband .

That journey, from poverty to stability, shaped her belief that no one who works hard should be left behind by their government. While Washington fills up with millionaires who vote in their own interests, Kate McLaughlin knows what it’s like to live with the consequences of those votes. Rising healthcare costs.  Seniors with less to live on. Families carrying the burden while politicians protect themselves and vote for tax relief for billionaires.

Kate has worked to protect families distraught by domestic violence and/or  sexual abuse. She believes that regardless of your wealth or political position, democracy demands that you will be held accountable.
